Sizing Toys to the Bird

A toy that is wrong-sized is either boring or dangerous, and it is rarely obvious which from a photograph.

Too small

A budgie-sized toy in a conure cage is destroyed in minutes and its small parts become a swallowing risk.

Too large

Heavy hardwood blocks meant for a macaw will not move for a cockatiel, so nothing happens and interest dies.
